Our six assessment areas
Rights clarity and trust is the first gate. We look for an identifiable operator, a coherent licensed proposition, published terms, privacy information, ordinary billing and claims that make sense for the UK rights market.
Value considers the realistic total across the minimum term, including required broadband, hardware and quality upgrades. Channel fit favours a clear, useful package over raw catalogue size.
Device support and reliability covers official apps, update paths and practical network options. Contract fairness covers cancellation and price visibility. Accessibility and support covers subtitles, audio description, parental controls and reachable help.
How updates work
We check primary provider pages and public UK guidance. Every price table carries a checked date. A material rights, price or product change triggers a review; the entire shortlist is reviewed at least quarterly.
Product and content boundaries
TellyProof sells its own subscription durations and also publishes educational guides. Product pages show TellyProof prices and checkout links; third-party names in guides are research subjects or sources, never paid placement or an outside sales handoff.
Limits
Availability varies by postcode, device, promotion and household. We cannot reproduce every checkout combination, measure every home network or guarantee future rights. This assessment is a structured starting point; the provider’s final basket and terms remain decisive.
